Oval Cut Diamonds

In the tradition of the classic round diamond, the oval cut diamond's numerous facets throw light off every surface to achieve a brilliant sparkle. The oval cut has the benefit of often appearing larger than its carat weight would suggest, particularly when set off by other stones. Its length is particularly suited to long, slim fingers. Presented to the public in the 1960s by Lazare Kaplan, the oval cut immediately achieved popularity for managing to appear fresh while still saluting the traditional look. It has retained that popularity until today, as oval-cut rings continue to be passed though the generations as heirlooms, as well as acquired according to bride's own taste.
