From the Steel City

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It really is impossible to capture the true beauty of a SuperbCert in photographs without professional lighting equipment. I can testify though that they are truly in another category of diamond. What fascinates me to no end about these things is what they do, not so much in bright light, but in low light. Very shortly after my fiancé and I got engaged, we were driving around and stopped at the local Wal-Mart SuperCenter. It was at night and so the parking lights were on. We pulled into the parking lot and my fiancé let out a 'yelp'. I looked over to her and here in my car, in the middle of blackness of night (about 12:30 AM) with only the parking lights shining above, my fiancée's finger was on fire. As she turned her finger just a constant stream of the most beautiful blue's, and red's, and oranges, and yellow's, and purple came streaming out of her ring. It was the most beautiful performance by a piece of jewelry that I had ever seen. Truly, SuperbCerts are magical. Some of my fiancée's comments about the ring include statements like: "I've never seen anything so beautiful in my entire life!" and "Look at all that color!" I truly cannot begin to express how this stone does magic with even the smallest light source. While we were driving up to Pittsburgh, the sun was setting and as the beams of light would come through the car and hit her diamond, it would EXPLODE!! You might think this is blowing things way out of proportion but it isn't. At one point, we just sat in the car, looked at the diamond as she slowly moved her finger around and proceeded to call out all the different colors of the rainbow as we saw them. Blue, green, purple, red's yellow, orange. It was as if someone had strapped a prism to her finger. We were both amazed at how the diamond 'danced'. When we first left her apartment, while the sun was still strong, Ivana commented to me about how it actually hurt her eyes to look at the "top of the diamond" as she called it (the table). I have to agree, in bright light you need sunglasses. The white light and scintillation is incredible; let the light go down, and then the fire starts!
